Who we are

A shop built on not walking past things

Heron started as a habit. We could not leave a good piece behind, so we stopped pretending and started doing it on purpose.

We look through Europe, America and Asia for brands that do not usually make it to this coast, and we bring back one of each. No racks of the same shirt in five sizes. What is here is what there is.

The store sits in Gingerbread Court on the Venice boardwalk. Everything in it is also online, so you can shop from the other side of the country or walk in on a Sunday and try it on.

What you'll find

Three kinds of thing, and nothing filler

We are not a vintage store and we are not a boutique. We are somewhere in between, which is the point.

Never worn, still labelled. Brands that normally mean a plane ticket or a shipping form, sitting on a rack in Venice.

Past seasons

Single pieces that did not come back. The size is the size, and that is usually how the good ones stay affordable.

The things we could not leave behind. Odd finds, small runs, pieces that belong on a shelf instead of a hanger.

How it gets here

Everything is gone over before it goes out

Washed if it can be, aired if it can't. Nothing torn, nothing stained. If something has a mark on it, we say so before you ask.

That is the whole promise, and it is the reason we are comfortable putting our name on pieces we did not make.
